Incommunicado Again

Sorry about the lack of updates and presence and whatnot lately. I'm kind of building up to something, but the rest of the real world is kicking my ass. Work keeps changing my schedule, school is legitimately difficult this term, the apartment is a mess, family is having issues, and oh, did I mention that I'm moving 200 miles to a new place in...four weeks? So it's been a little busy around here. Fun facts: the latest release of Cursed (0.4.0d) has been downloaded 4000 times in ten days. Which is a little crazy. Also, the following is a list of incomplete content. This stuff is not buggy, it's incomplete. That's an entirely different can of worms. 1) Girl In Ocean (mermaid content) 2) Genevieve Relationship 3) Brothel Nuns (basic actions are available, but pregnancy, modding the girls, and "end-states" are not implemented yet) 4) Nudity (sure, you can go out naked, but for now, no one cares [except the cops]) 5) A bunch of other stuff.

I apologize for not properly attributing the photos, I nabbed them as I found them ;) but I wanted to show some painted figs and some neat ideas.

Update 0.4.0d (3-18)

Bug fix update. I'm hoping this is the last one so that I can move on to other stuff. Bugs Fixed: 1) Nun brothel stuff should be fixed, for reals this time. This include "CANNOT SET VARIABLE WITH VARIABLE" errors, nun names, and some confusion that was caused by Sofia. Note that you STILL need to use the testing item to actually get things going. 1a) Brothel now properly locks you out of going there when the brothel is closed. 2) Strappy Sandals no longer break the Last Worn Shoes option. 3) The letter from the mother will no longer keep showing up. 4) Did some stuff with the bookshelf to hopefully make it work better...or you know, at all. 5) Music skill should a) properly get to 100, and b) not waste your skill points when it's maxed or close to it. 6) Meditative Calm should now work properly. 7) Walking and Jogging random events should now trigger properly. 8) Your choices in the intro are now being saved properly again. 9) The balcony has been removed from being c...

Not Dead, Just Exhausted

Man, I hate apartment hunting when it's 5 minutes away. When it's 4 hours away... In any event, my schedule is kinda-sorta back to normal-ish, and while I have a shitload of things that need doing, I've been away from this too long, and letting too many bugs fester. So I'm gonna fix those. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours, unless they're tricksy hobbitses.

Nnnnnnnnnnope

Yeah, no. This week kicked my ass. 5 hours of sleep a night (when I'm lucky), plus running all over hell and creation for a surprisingly large number of reasons, and I haven't even started my schoolwork for the week. I WOULD be coding tomorrow, but instead I'm spending 7 hours in a car...and apartment hunting. I am really  hoping that my schedule goes back to normal next week, and as soon as it does, I'll get the rest of the bugs fixed, but right now...life is just kickin' my butt. Never fear, I'm still around.

Deadlines

Last post: Dec 31st, 2012. What the hell happened? Two things. First, my wife & I moved into our first house - that's part of what motivated my self-imposed Christmas deadline, knowing that I'd lose most of January to the move - and second, I got busy on the newer 'leaner' Frontiers. Last time I posted I said I achieved my goal of a playable game by Christmas, but not without cost. Remember how Frontiers started as a Minecraft clone with a dynamic terrain engine, with survival elements built on top? Well around November I realized that if I was going to make this thing playable by Christmas, one of two things had to go - the survival elements, or the sandbox elements. Yeah, sucks huh. After a few tough nights of waffling I decided to ditch the sandbox elements. I salvaged everything else I could - the interface, interactivity engine, survival engine and art - and started over from scratch. The rest - eight painful months of development and an engine that was 80% the...

Gluh, Coursework Sucks

So I just finished another term of school. Only...four and a half more to go (maybe) before I get my degree and have to start paying back by student loan (ohgodohgod). Hey, did you know that NOT having the textbook for a course that relies heavily on the textbook makes that course really difficult ? Sorry about being out of touch for a while, but between worrying about schoolwork (and not actually DOING anything about it) and some other stuff that's happening Chez AnonymousFamily, it's been a little busy and tiring. In any event, I am aware of the bugs that are still existent in the game, and will work on fixing them in the next few days. Hopefully, that'll stamp them out and I can get on with more actual content. Not sure when exactly I'll get a chance to do that, though, as my work schedule for this week has been extended, which is good for money purposes, bad for anything-else purposes. We'll see how it goes.
